Vicci Martinez

Vicci is a songwriter, singer, actor, activist, and professional guitarist who has received critical acclaim throughout the World.

She has either opened for or shared the bill with artists ranging from Sting, Annie Lennox, Jonny Lang, Brandi Carlile, and blues legend, BB King. In 2011, Vicci was a finalist on the NBC hit TV show, The Voice, and later released a single with artist and judge, CeeLo Green.

Martinez’s inspiration comes from her family, as well as from musical figures like Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, and Dave Matthews, and more recent explorations of Van Morrison’s hallowed catalog.

As a 13 year old girl, she balked at joining her school youth choir but thrived as a featured soloist that included a successful appearance on “Star Search.” That garnered her an “American Idol” audition and a ticket to Hollywood at age 16, which she declined because she was not ready personally nor professionally for that kind of attention.

Following the road less traveled, Vicci has chosen to stay true to her music and her fans. Over the past ten years, she has released 5 independent solo projects plus a live DVD. In 2011, engineer Jeremiah Sheets recorded an amazing live show that captured the energy and passion that fans see and hear every time Vicci performs. Out of that came her first fully ‘live’ CD titled “Live From Jazzbones.” All of the proceeds from the sale of this limited edition CD go to keeping the band out on the road touring and doing what they love to do best, play music.
