Katrina founded Recompose, a Public Benefit Corporation based in Seattle and the world’s first human composting company. Recompose started accepting bodies for human composting in December 2020. Recompose uses a process called natural organic reduction to transform human remains into soil. This soil can then be used to regenerate the earth that support us our whole lives.

Change is upon us and we will examine the concepts of race, gender, wealth inequity, indigenous rights, economics and social class. The Convergence will examine the shifting times and issues important to us. Our goal is to examine what it means to be alive in this time and how we can work together to navigate our way into the future.

KEVIN ROWELL

Kevin Rowell is an expert in construction technology, disaster recovery, and operating human settlements. As well, Co-Founder of United Refuge, a US based non profit supporting at risk communities on the front lines of the worlds most complex disasters and wars including Ukraine and Afghanistan. Kevin excels at the oversight of building and operating temporary settlements. He thrives when deploying on short notice into complex scenarios with minimal information. He supports teams from any position by fostering teamwork to “build the plane while in flight.”

Winner of Stockholm Water Prize’ 2015; an award known as “the Nobel Prize for Water,” Mr. Rajendra Singh organization Tarun Bharat Sangh is working for restoring life and hope to the barren land of Rajasthan. Their water conservation methods include the Johads used in the collection of rainwater for the dry seasons and has brought water back to over 1,000 villages and revived five rivers in Rajasthan, Arvari, Ruparel, Sarsa, Bhagani and Jahajwali.

Connection and networking are the main intention and focus at the Imagine Convergence. We will offer various exercises, workshops and opportunities for each guest to meet and connect with fellow participants and presenters. Connection offers a deep sense of belonging and brings forward the hope needed in order to make a positive impact on our lives and the world around us. Ultimately, it is the connection we experience with one another that enriches our lives and sparks the changes that are necessary for happiness, health and well-being. Marcela Ot’alora works with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) as the principal investigator for government research into MDMA-assisted psychotherapy. She currently leads the MDMA therapy training for MAPS.Ot’alora approaches her work with a humility learned from years of therapeutic experience: “My clients and the participants in our studies have taught me that their healing looks so different than anything I could have imagined. If I come in leaving that agenda, leaving that bias aside, and being present with whoever is in front of me, they will surprise me every time about how healing works for them.”
